I don’t have experience with it, but will probably give it a try this semester. From the homepage:

There is a great article over at Orange Crate Art on how to e-mail a professor. This is a great read for students–even if you have a lot of Internet experience. I support the suggestions the author makes and only wish I had thought of publishing this first
